You have to eat a wide range of food group, including fruits and vegetables, bread & grains, protein and milk products in order to get the nutrient you need. You will typically need to consume an additional 300 calories a day.

Healthy Recipes For Pregnant Women

 

1.  Chocolate Chip & Peanut Butter Bar

 

For This You Will Need:

  • Vegetable oil- 1/2 tbsp
  •  Peanuts (roasted) – 1 cup 
  •  Peanut butter – 1/2 cup 
  •  Vanilla essence – 1 Tbsp
  •  Sunflower seeds – 1/2 cup 
  •  Chocolate chips – 1/2 cup 
  • Oats – 1 cup 
  • Dates (pitted) – 20 
  • Eggs – 2
  • Kosher salt – 1 Tbsp 

Method:

Blend oats, peanut butter, peanuts, sunflower seeds, oats, and dates in a blender and churn. Now mix eggs, vanilla essence, and salt in a bowl. Mix peanut mixture and egg mixture in a blender to make a coarse paste. Now fold the mixture int eh chocolate chips and grease a baking pan. Pour the mixture in pan and spread it evenly. Now in 200 degrees bake it for 35 minutes. Your  Chocolate Chip & Peanut Butter Bar is ready. Make sure it cool before you cut it into bars.

2. Cabbage Rice

 

For This You Will Need:

  •  Cooked rice – 1 ½ cups 
  •  Finely chopped Onion- 1
  • Shredded cabbage – ½ cup 
  • Sliced Capsicum – 1
  •  Pepper Powder- ½ Tbsp 
  • Butter – 2 Tbsp 
  • Salt to taste
  • Grated processed cheese – 2 Tbsp 

Method:

In a wok, melt butter and add onion and saute it. Now transfer capsicum and cabbage into the pan and cook until tender. Now add rice, seasoning into it and mix well. Your Cabbage Rice is ready to serve. Garnish your dish with cheese before serving.

3. Banana Walnut Pancakes:

 

For This You Will Need:

  •  Banana puree – ¼ cup 
  • Finely chopped walnuts – 1/2 cup 
  • Whole-wheat flour – 1 cup 
  • Wheat bran – 2 Tbsp 
  •  Milk – 1/2 cup
  • Castor sugar – 4 Tbsp 
  •  Vanilla essence – 1/2 Tbsp
  • Baking powder – 1/2 Tbsp
  • Butter – 4 Tbsp 

To Serve:

  • Slices Of Banana
  • Honey

Method:

Add all the ingredients in a bowl and mix. Now add 1/2 cup of water and mix well. Now melt the butter in a pan over medium flame and add a ladle of the mix. Spread the batter evenly to make a pancake. Cook the pancake from both the sides until golden brown. Your Banana Walnut Pancakes is ready to serve. Before serving add banana slices and honey

4.  Banana & Date Shake:

 

For This You Will Need:

  •  Dates – 1/4thcup 
  • 1/2 a banana
  • Milk – 1 cup 
  • Ice-cubes – 4 to 5

Method:

In warm milk soak dates for 30 minutes. Now mix all the ingredients and blend the mixture in a blender and churn. Your yummy Banana & Date Shake is ready to serve.

5. Chicken Salad Wraps

 

For This You Will Need:

  • Lemon juice- ½ cup 
  • Tabasco sauce – 1/3rdcup 
  • Sugar – ¼th cup 
  • garlic, minced – 2 cloves 
  • Crushed red pepper – ¼th Tbsp 
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • Shredded romaine lettuce – 4 cups 
  • Shredded cooked chicken – 3 cups
  • 1 large ripe tomato sliced
  • Grated carrots – 1 cup 
  • Chopped scallions – 2/3rdcup 
  • Slivered fresh mint – 2/3rd

Method:

Add Tabasco sauce, sugar, garlic, lemon juice, red pepper in a bowl and whisk until the sugar dissolves. Now in a foil, wrap the tortillas and heat for 10 minutes. Now mix chicken, lettuce, tomato, carrot, mint, and scallions in a large bowl and mix well. Add the dressing to the mixture of chicken. Put the mixture of chicken on the tortillas and serve.
