Try Coonoor’s all-year good weather destination for a different vacation experience. There are a few cheese farms in the area that the kids are bound to enjoy spread over several acres. Take a lovely view of the Nilgiris and enjoy a farm stay experience. Children may love to have the chance to milk a cow, watch the cheese making process, and help pick organic produce from the farm. Kodaikanal is the best place to visit if you want to travel to southern India but know that your little ones just won’t be able to bear the scorching heat. This is a beautiful Karnataka hill station which is a perfect escape from the scorching heat of the summer. Coorg is rightly called the ‘ Scotland of India ‘ in the Western Ghats. Known for its coffee plantations and amazing views, Take your kids to Coorg and let them see how they grow coffee. Pay a visit and enjoy a boat ride to Nisargadhama! 6. Gangtok

 

During summers, Gangtok has become a popular tourist destination in India. Make the children a must-visit to the Himalayan Zoological Park. The vulnerable and endangered animals like the red panda and the clouded leopard will be seen by them. With species so rapidly vanishing, you must let them see these majestic creatures in their lives at least once. They will up to adulthood cherish the memory. You can also visit Tsomgo Lake if they’re up for it and marvel at the sweeping view of the waters and the colorful flowers.

7. Gir National Park

Gir is home to the Asiatic lion, the only place in the world to find lions roaming freely apart from Africa. The site also hosts the office of the Indian Discovery Channel located about 65 Km South East of Junagarh District. The thick forest provides a break from the air of the city, and the Safari ride is a childhood experience not to be missed. Here you can spot other animals such as blackbuck, jackal, leopards and much more. Travel tip: Book the Safari ride early in the morning because during the day it can get really hot.

8. Darjeeling

 

Darjeeling is one of the oldest places where you can enjoy a toy train ride, allowing you to drink through panoramic views while you’re on the move in the wilderness of Darjeeling. A trek to the Tiger Hill offers a fascinating sunrise view. Many families have strengthened their bonds by walking along the famous tea and rock gardens of Darjeeling, taking a cable car ride or plunging down for a picnic on the waterfalls ‘ foothills.
