For a family, there is no greater joy than the birth of a child. The eyes of all, from parents to uncles and aunts, are packed with lots of love and enthusiasm. However, it’s the siblings that get excited when they see the little kids of their brother/sister. They’re all waiting eagerly to meet the little baby. And when Virat Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma were blessed with a baby girl, their whole family was showering them with a lot of love and blessings.
To announce that the couple welcomed their first child on Monday afternoon, Virat took to social media. He added, “Anushka and the baby are both healthy.”
Virat’s statement read, “We’re thrilled to share with you that we’ve been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, your prayers, and your good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and happy to begin this new life chapter. We hope that, at this time, you will respect our privacy. Love, Virat.”

Virat Kohli’s brother, Vikas Kohli, took to his Instagram handle a few hours later and shared his niece’s first-ever glimpse. In the frame, we can see a picture of the feet of Virat and Anushka’s little girl. He added a GIF sticker, “Welcome” on top of it. He wrote, “Happiness overboard, an angel in the house.”

Bhawna Kohli Dhingra, Virat’s sister, also shared a heartfelt post for the new parents. “So happy to be bua of a beautiful little angel. Congratulations proud parents Virat and Anushka.
On December 11, 2017, in Italy, Anushka and Virat tied the knot. Just family and close friends in attendance saw the wedding. Two wedding receptions were held in India by the couple, one in Delhi and another in Mumbai.
Anushka Sharma recently created Amazon Prime Video original web series Pataal Lok and Netflix film Bulbbul under her Clean Slate Films production house on the work front. She was last seen on the big screen, along with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif, in Aanand L Rai’s 2018 film Zero.
