6. Gangtok

 

During summers, Gangtok has become a popular tourist destination in India. Make the children a must-visit to the Himalayan Zoological Park. The vulnerable and endangered animals like the red panda and the clouded leopard will be seen by them. With species so rapidly vanishing, you must let them see these majestic creatures in their lives at least once. They will up to adulthood cherish the memory. 7. Gir National Park

Gir is home to the Asiatic lion, the only place in the world to find lions roaming freely apart from Africa. The site also hosts the office of the Indian Discovery Channel located about 65 Km South East of Junagarh District. The thick forest provides a break from the air of the city, and the Safari ride is a childhood experience not to be missed. Here you can spot other animals such as blackbuck, jackal, leopards and much more. Travel tip: Book the Safari ride early in the morning because during the day it can get really hot.
