Babita Phogat, an Indian wrestling sensation, and fellow wrestler Vivek Suhag welcomed their firstborn baby boy on Monday. Babita Phogat’s sister, Geeta, took Instagram and congratulated her. “I welcome Arjun’s (Geeta’s son) younger brother into this world. I congratulate my sister on becoming a mother. Welcome in Motherhood,” she said.

Babita Phogat was married to Vivek Suhag in December 2019. They had met at an event in New Delhi and had been dating for five years.
Interestingly, the couple took eight ‘pheras’ instead of the usual seven at their wedding. Using the opportunity to raise awareness of the girl child, they took the extra ‘phera’ as a promise to save, educate, and let the girl child play.
Amongst the first to congratulate Phogat on the occasion were cricketer Suresh Raina and badminton star Saina Nehwal.
“Congratulations,” Raina wrote.
The big announcement on Instagram was made in November 2020 by Babita. In the frame, as they stared into each other’s eyes, the Commonwealth Games medallist and her husband Vivek Suhag were seen holding her baby bump. Her caption was a post of gratitude for sharing with her husband that she felt ‘lucky’ over every ‘single moment’ she spent being his wife and the ‘amazing life’ they shared together. She also wrote, ‘You’re my place of happiness. Babita expressed her excitement and that she was waiting in her life for this ‘new chapter’ to begin.
